didacta is Europe's biggest education trade fair and has an entire display category dedicated to the trend for comprehensive digitization that is sweeping through society. This year, didacta DIGITAL in Hall 13 is training the spotlight on some completely new approaches. Visitors can debate the seemingly never-ending possibilities by getting hands-on with new teaching resources. Wortmann AG has operated in the education sector for many years. The renowned IT company is returning to this year’s didacta with a particular focus on its "Classroom Out of the Box" concept and is also exhibiting innovative hardware in the shape of the TERRA Trolley.
"didacta presents an opportunity to showcase our solutions and products, which have been specifically designed with schools in mind, to a large audience. One example is our 2in1 tablet - a laptop that can be transformed into a tablet in an instant. The tablet is equipped for all eventualities, both inside and outside school. It is impact resistant, splash proof and has a temperature sensor and a magnifier including software," said Andreas Barkowski, Head of Education at Wortmann AG. Up to 16 of these tablets can fit into the TERRA Trolley - a stable case where hardware can be safely stored and charged at the same time. What's more, the trolley features a Devolo access point to provide pupils with Internet access. To top it all off, the package comes with a "teacher tablet", which is either a high-quality Microsoft Surface device or a TERRA PAD 1270, depending on requirements. Thanks to these exceptionally high-performance tablets, teachers should be able to comfortably prepare lessons at home and then use Miracast to display content on a projector or flat screen in the classroom.
