Strong Teams for Strong Children – Health as the Key to Quality and Good Education
Healthy daycare centers thrive when both children and staff are equally prioritized. Health is far more than just an individual issue. It is a central prerequisite for educational quality, successful relationships, and sustainable learning processes and thus a crucial factor for the long-term viability of the daycare center. This theme day explores how health-promoting conditions, a culture of mutual respect within teams and leadership, and concrete approaches for everyday educational practice can help enhance the well-being of everyone involved. Insights from research and practice demonstrate how health can be promoted at the individual, organizational, and systemic levels, while also providing early childhood educators with practical suggestions for actively shaping their own work environment in a healthy way.
